All our aluminium outdoor furniture is highly durable made from quality grade aluminium and has a 15um (micron) clear coating anodised finish which creates a hard scratch resistant finish. Anodising refers to coating aluminium with a layer of aluminium oxide which is the second hardest material after diamond. Hence by anodising untreated aluminium it increases the hardness of the surface immensely. A baseball bat would leave a mark, however it wouldn’t bend or dent the bench. Trying to scratch into a bench with something sharp is very difficult due to the anodised finish. The finish is long-lasting with a normal life service of more than 50 years.
